| Its the Friday before finals, so I'm bored and I thought I'd update. What a semester. Phew, its almost over. The first 1/3 was easy, the last 2/3 were crazy. I had 6 papers to write, two of them 10 pages or more, instrument flight to learn, and stuff to figure out. I got it all accomplished though. The papers all turned out great, I finally got done with my instrument training on Thursday, and life is pretty good. I get to go home in a week, which I am really excited about. I get to see the fam and all my friends ;). I am going to miss my good friends from Letu though. Courtney's graduating, which is kinda sad because she won't be on campus next year, but since she's my big sis, we will def. stay in touch! This summer will be good to get away and just relax a little, work a lot, and take a few classes. Living with the same people for 4 months, some can kinda get to riding on you with their personalities, so it'll be a good break. The quad is having movie night tonight with our floor sisters (we're watching the Sound of Music) and making a late night IHOP run which will be fun. I've only got 4 finals next week, and I'm done by Wednesday, but I'm staying for graduation, so I won't be leaving until Saturday. God has been at work in me this semester with relationship stuff and how to handle things, to overall patience and priorities. He's always there whenever I need Him, which is very comforting. I'm going to miss Texas this summer, but dangit, I'm going to be darn glad to be home.

| Spring break!!! Woot! I'm taking a break from writing my research paper (yes on spring break so I don't freak out during the class week and stuff) so I thought I would update. This break has been pretty decent so far. It has been dreary and rainy for a couple of days, but they really needed the rain down in San Antonio and the surrounding area. It rained a ton on Sunday. We got 10 inches at my dad's house! That is an insane amount of rain! My dad's stock tank ( a small pond for those of you who don't speak texan) was completely dry on Sunday and it was oveflowing on Monday morning. Craziness. We had some really nice weather on Monday so we worked on rebuilding a fence. The tractor wouldn't start so we got to dig two 3 ft. postholes by hand! Good times. Took roughly an hour and a half for each hole. I was def. sore yesterday. Yesterday I went in to San Antonio to have lunch and hang out some with Crystal and Jessica (two girls I went to kindergarten with) so that was fun! It was good to see them again. Courtney and I are hanging out tomorrow, so that should be fun. God has also been working in me on this trip so far. I usually always have a spiritual struggle when I come to my dad's house because I get away from good spiritual influences and slide back some. This trip was no different, but I realized that on Saturday and actually did something about it. I put my foot down and shoved Satan back instead of him doing that to me. Monday night was also interesting. I've had a burden for my dad and his spiritual life and his soul for a while. I tried to talk to him about it on Monday evening, but it didn't go so well. I won't go into details except that it would be fantastic if all of you could be praying for him and just that God would be working in him. I planted a seed and now I'm just leaving everything totally up to God. Headed back on Sunday to Letu. Kinda good to get away every now and then and just chill, but it is always good to get back. Hope everybody else had a great week.

| Well hi everyone! Its been a little while since I updated, but some cool things happened over the past couple of weeks. Last week, I went with my church to New Orleans to help with some houses and stuff. It was a really good trip. It blew my mind that there are still so many houses that need help. Somebody told me that 175,000 homes still need work. That is a ton! We were able to gut two houses which both really needed it. We also assisted at Building Better Community's warehouse (our sponsoring group) with organization, sheetrock putting up, and ceiling tile putting up. A small group of us went and helped a lady move on Friday. It was kind of sad because we only moved her stuff from one storage place to another. Her name is Julie and she had a sad story. She and her husband took in people after the storm to give them a place to stay. Some of the men weren't good and they tied up her husband and murdered him, so she has been through a lot. Her FEMA trailer gets taken back in March so she needs a place to live, so if you all could be praying for her, that would be awesome. Hope everybody else had a great break as well!

| Forgot to tell a story about Jezreel on my last update. There are 11 of them and they are all staying over at my church's single's pastor's house and we go over and hang out with them sometimes. I went over on Tuesday and we talked for a little while and then we were going to watch The Rundown with The Rock. Jezreel has a filter thing (I can't remember what its called) that is supposed to take out language and sexual content and stuff like that and for some reason it wasn't working. So, about 20 minutes into the movie, Chris, the sound guy, after repeated attempts at getting it to work, just turned it off. I thought that was really cool. Instead of filling their heads with inappropriate stuff, they just turned it off and went on to other things. I don't think Christians do that enough. We become desensitized into thinking that that stuff is alright to listen to and watch, and its not. Wow, these guys and gals are truly amazing Christians

| Wow, so its been a little while since I updated. Lots of things have happened since the end of October. I finally passed my stage check for the tailwheel, which I am very excited about. I can now fly solo in tailwheel's! Anybody wanna fly with me? Thanksgiving was a nice break but the problem coming back from it was everything slowed way down. I mean, things still seemed to be going relatively quickly, but not as fast as they were. It was good to see the family, but I am so thankful that I am not like them! All because of God's grace. Its kind of depressing seeing them all drink and stuff. My grandma made some really good food though, so that was a plus. I discovered homemade pumpkin pie, which is really good! This month at church, a Canadian band named Jezreel is spending the whole month with us and they are really awesome. They are shining examples of Christ, which is a big encouragement to me. I'm very thankful for them and their ministry. I might be taking some of them flying next week too. This week has been loooooooong! I had 7 stinking tests, and very few were easy. As far as I know, I passed all of them (I took two today that were pretty hard, and I think I passed them, I really hope I did, but I haven't gotten the results yet). I have four finals next week then I'm heading home on Thursday, which I can't wait for! One reason in particular . Hope all ya'll have a great week!
